Where the Scholarship Funds Come From...
The Mack
Johnson Memorial Golf Classic, usually held in April of each year,
is the major source of ITMA's scholarship disbursements for the following
year. Mack Johnson, of C. E. Lummis & Co., was a charter member
and president of ITMA in 1985-86. He was a coordinator and staunch
supporter of the Associations first golf tournament. As
a tribute to this leader, the board of directors proclaimed the annual
golf event to be known as the Mack Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament.
Special Scholarships for 2007!
Our
yearly Golf Tournament is the number one source, and this year 2007,
we have had a terrific success due to some very generous Elite
Sponsors.
These
Elite sponsors donated as follows: Port Freeport $3,000.00,
Chipolbrok $ 1000.00, ProShipLine $ 1000.00, and Quilter Logistics $
1,000.00. I.T.M.A. has marked $6,000.00 for 2007 Awards.
