What is ITMA?

ITMA is a member-driven organization for people and companies with an interest in the international transportation arena.

Because ITMA is member focused, it addresses issues that are important to the general membership.

 

 

How many members does ITMA have?

As of March 2007, ITMA has 90 new members for this year alone, and 190 members that have renewed their membership for 2007. (Figures represent both individual members and corporate members.)

 

 

What are the benefits of joining ITMA?

Because ITMA’s membership is diverse, we have access to first hand information on all late breaking news in the industry.  From pending legislation, to proposed changes in regulations, or areas of new business development, ITMA has the facts and resources to disseminate the data to our members, clients and customer.

Who can join ITMA?

Any person, company or university student interested in or involved in international transportation can join ITMA.

 

 

What is the cost of membership in ITMA?

The cost of an individual membership is $50 per year.  

The cost of a corporate membership is $150 per year.  A corporate membership includes memberships for as many as five (5) representatives from a member company.

 

 

Does ITMA host informal networking events?

Yes.  ITMA hosts an informal networking "social hour" on the first Wednesday of every month.

These informal networking gatherings are located at Derrick’s Saloon inside the Hyatt Hotel at Bush Intercontinental Airport:

Members of the transportation industry and their clients, friends and co-workers are invited to join ITMA for a night of networking and fun that includes a complimentary buffet, adult beverages,

Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month at the Greenspoint Club.

Can I bring guests to member luncheons?

Yes. Guests are welcome to attend ITMA luncheons.  However, you must pay for your guest(s) luncheon.

 

 

How do I pay for ITMA luncheons, golf tournament or any other ITMA event?

Payment can be made for ITMA luncheons, annual golf event and educational conferences by using the secure electronic payment system at this Web site, or by mailing your check.

 

 

Who is eligible to apply for an ITMA Scholarship?

This year, ITMA and it's sponsors awarded $12,000.00 in academic scholarships for college students.  Criteria governing eligibility and qualifications for ITMA scholarships can be found at our scholarships page.

 

 

When does the ITMA annual golf tournament take place?

The Mack Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament is held in April of each year.  

 

 

 

Can non-members participate in the ITMA golf tournament?

Yes. Guests of IMTA members are welcome to participate in the ITMA golf tournament.  As with luncheons and conferences, you must pay for your guests' golf fees.

 

 

Does ITMA offer opportunities for employment?

No. The operation of ITMA is managed by member volunteers.

However, industry related job opportunities are posted on this Web site as they are submitted.

 

 

Does membership in ITMA include membership in TCI?

Yes.  Because ITMA is a proud member of Transportation Clubs International (TCI), ITMA members are afforded the opportunity to become involved in TCI activities and events.
